A LOVING mother found dead at home will “never be forgotten”, her grieving family have said. Sarah Fernandes Mason, aged 39, was found dead on a bed at the house she shared with her mother and teenage daughter in Cooper Street, Malvern, last Friday. Her 16-year-old daughter Ayeisha Fernandes, speaking on behalf of herself and grandmother Veronica Wheelwright, paid tribute to their “loving daughter and mother”. “She always put others before herself. “She was a free spirit who loved to travel and will always be in our hearts, never forgotten.” Police are continuing to investigate her death, which they are describing as suspicious. Ms Fernandes Mason is believed to have been having a relationship with Aaron Stewart. He died in hospital after plunging from the CrownGate shopping centre car park in Worcester at 5.37pm, about an hour before the discovery of Ms Fernandes Mason’s body at her Malvern home. The deaths are being linked by police, although nobody else is being sought in connection with either incident. Neighbours said the couple, who are thought to have started going out last year, were “quiet” and “kept themselves to themselves.” Inquests into both deaths were opened and adjourned by the Worcestershire coroner Geraint Williams on Tuesday. The exact medical cause of Ms Fernandes Mason’s death has yet to be discovered, with further tests being carried out. Detective Inspector Jon Wallis, who is leading the investigation, said: “Enquiries continue and this remains an ongoing investigation. “Sarah Fernandes Mason’s death is still being treated as suspicious.”
